I will. Because I am.
The confidence of being you.
The first day that bird tried to leave the forest where it was born, it crashed into the first branch of the first tree it encountered. It hadn't even flown a meter and was already on the ground.
That forest hadn't made him feel alive for a long time, and something inside him urged him to go further, even though he didn't know what he would find.
Since then, every attempt ended the same way. One branch. Another. And another.
Meanwhile, the other birds watched him and laughed at him while they enjoyed themselves in their usual pond, dancing and living peacefully.
From time to time, they advised him to stop trying. They told him he was wasting his time and would end up hurt if he tried to get out.
That bird, for a while, returned to the pond. He pretended to be comfortable, laughed with the others, flapped his wings as if nothing had happened. But inside, he felt like he was fading away a little more each day.
For days and nights, he studied every mistake he made and every blow he took. He remained silent each morning as he stared at the branches where he had always crashed, until everything inside him began to change.
One day, while everyone was dancing in their pond as usual, he climbed onto the highest branch he knew.
And before jumping, he said:
“You know what? I’m going to get it. Because I’m that bird who can get it.”
And without looking back, he jumped.
This time he didn't hesitate for a single second. This time he didn't crash. The branches were always there, but he realized the worst ones were the ones he'd put on his own head.
This time he dodged every branch, every obstacle, every "you can't." And without anyone expecting it, he ended up crossing the forest.
